Poor quality control
I order this mixer and when i assembled it i notice the plastic lid didnt fit on right. After looking at it i notice the mixer wasnt squared when built. I pulled a tape measurment out and corner to corner it was almost 1/2 inch out of square. Very disappointing. Other issue is its a non polished on the inside which gives it a rough texture. This might make it hard to clean after use. Cant say forsure because ill be sending the unit back before use. Very poor quality control.

Makes mixing simple
It works as expected. I borrowed a friends before committing to buy one after hearing some say they're great and others say they're not worth the hassle. For mixing over 10lb it's a life saver, so much easier than frozen fingers.
I would have preferred if LEM kept the old design of smooth sheet stainless instead of the textured finish on the inside of the hopper. Hopefully it doesn't make it too much more difficult to clean and sanitize reliably.

Did the job
Bought this mixer to make 20# of meatballs for Christmas and for sausage later this month. Started with 5#. Did not mix very well. Added 5# more. Did started mixing, but not what I expected. I was turning handle clockwise. Decided to try counterclockwise. Did a great job. Called costumer service and they said to turn clockwise. Can not return to store if used and no defects. Guess I will have to keep.
Owner Response: You need to have at minimum half the capacity of the mixer filled for it to mix your meat. In this case, you would want to mix at least 10 lbs. at a time.
