In the food service profession, I have used many brands and types of slicers. There are features that could be improved and added that I have seen on other brands, but overall a great product for the price.
cannot go wrong investing in this equipment
I have several pieces of LEM equipment grinder, stuffer, slicer.we do approx.20 animals a year. and all involved family and friend have only good things to say about LEMEquipment.Service is second to non. These people have always been very professional and fast service.
Great slicer but won't do what I needed it for.
I bought the slicer to replace a worn out 40+ year old slicer. The LEM machine is well engineered and superbly made and slices quietly and cleanly, and cleanup is a breeze the down side is the throw. If yuo onlly want to slice cold cuts or cheese no wider than about 6 to 8 inches, it's great but, anything wider you can't do safely. I make our bacon. The sides run from11 to 13 inches wide, about 4 to 6 inches too wide for the slicers throw. I wish I had asked a few more questions or the info about the short throw was part of the general product information. All-in-all, the slicer works as advertised, is of good quality, just won't do what I wanted,
Awesome Machine for the Home Butcher
This is a professional grade and powerful machine. I process my own wild game and farm-raised pork and after wearing out some old cheap store brand slicer I had, I decided to upgrade. It might be actually more slicer than I need but I am glad I got it. It is very quiet but has power to spare. If I had anything negative to say it would be that clean up requires a little time and effort but isn't too bad. I highly recommend this slicer for anyone who plans on processing their own meat in large quantities - it won't let you down. LEM products can't be beat!
Hi, my wife and I have been looking for a commercial like slicer for non commercial prices for so long. We finally found it! This slicer is really good quality, stainless steel and easy to clean. Only down side is that there is no quick release for the blade for cleaning, it needs to be released with 3 screws. A very reliable machine! Cheers
This slicer is far better than my 19-06 model that I had to wear ear plugs with and it slices that crap out of goose and deer meat! Only thing is cleaning it, it aint bad but you have to take screws out. Get a brush and the clean up is easy
seems like a great slicer. Don't know about warranty, web site says 5 years, box it came says 2 years, owners manual says 1 year.
Owner Response: This meat slicer does have a 5-year warranty.
Works like a charm
If you need a great machine, this is the deal. Very satisfied: packaging, set up and use.
This slicer is more than anyone would need at home, I bought this one because I am beginning to process a lot of wild game. And Lem products are the way to go. I was a butcher in retail for seven years. and the quality and the price that this slicer offers is non comparable to others, especially just for at home use
I can't believe this slicer didn't cost more. Its as efficient as a full comnercial slicer. It cuts exactly the same every slice. I can't recommend it enough.
Damn good slicer
Gotta get one of these!
Its does everything I need it for.
I got this slicer as a Birthday/Christmas gift. I had a really old slicer from a general store that worked well but was so heavy it takes 2 people to move it around and it was not practical for me anymore. I asked my friend that had some small slicers and they were not happy with them. I went to Echo Hill Country Store they carry the Lem brand slicers and other items. I asked them about the slicers they had on the shelf and told them what I wanted to use it for and how much I use it and they said that I would want one a little better then the models they had in stock. They looked and recommended this 10 model. They had some other people wanting better grade of slicer also so they ordered one of these in and called me so I could check it out. I liked it and finally got it. I have had a chance to use it and it works well, and its light enough I can pick it up myself. I buy pork loins and cut a roast off each end and then slice chops with the rest. It makes nice chops. I also make my own chip steak, I par freeze a roast then it can be sliced nice and thin. This slicer did a great job never slowed down at all. I will most likely get softer feet or a rubber mat to slice on because when the smooth counter got wet it would slide around a little bit. Again its lite weight but powerful. I would recommend this slicer to anyone wanting to do heavy duty home slicing. But not everyday it a store or commercial setting. I hope my review is helpful to others looking for a nice heavy duty home slicer.
