This apple peeler is the worst. It wont stay sealed to counter, never did ever! Moved out side used a C clamp to hold in place. after 8 apples the plastic gasket on the back side broke, causing the shaft to wobble. I would not even give it one star but they did not offer a negative star
This by far the poorest peeler I have ever had. It skips, gouges, digs too deep. If the parts off this one would work on my old one, I would be using it. It was wonderful and yes, i do know how to adjust the knife. I hate it. I just use it to core and slice, it does a good job for just that but very poor peeler. I have to finish peeling by hand.
Very Pleasantly Surprised
I had bought the peeler/slicer last year but never got the opportunity to use it. We put it together and did the test run. After adjusting the peel setting, we had an assembly line going. I had gotten three boxes of apples from the local FFA group and they needed canned. We did about 1-1/2 bushels in about an hour...peeled, cored and in the pot. It makes a really nice slice while it peels and we just made slices in the slices and into the pot they went. Some of the third box weren't as firm and had bad spots starting but otherwise it did a marvelous job. I wish I would have had it years ago.
Mrs. Wilson/ apple peeler
My husband put together and put apple on it he did a 5 gallon bucket of apples quicker than I could put in sacks for freezer. Works wonderfully and perfect slices.! I bought it on a whim but would recommend to anyone who has 2 buckets of apples to peel So quick and easy
apple potatoe peeler
I like the design and the suction cup actually works. Unfortunately the handle/shaft connection stripped the very first time I used it. It no longer turned so was unusable. I didn't attempt to return it as my husband scavanged parts from my previous papered chef unit and replaced the handle. Note from management: Nancy, sorry for the poor quality. Usually our Apple peelers are very reliable. Thanks very much for the comment. We will check the shaft thread quality to be sure things are as they should be. Hill Kohnen, Owner
