Have ordered many times, the sweet Italian sausage spice is great alone or with added ingredients like parmigiana cheese, parsley, garlic & ground mushrooms. It's a great starting base for all sorts of sausage. We love it!

SAGE! is not my breakfast sausage! WILL NOT BUY AGAIN! POOR tastei for sausage easonings! Bought from Bass Pro Shop for $10. Would not bought it IF LEM had Listed the SAGE & Spices Used In this seasoning! SAGE spice ruins good sausage, sage is for turkey dressing, wot eat that either!

I have ordered several items from you and have found them all to be great tasting. I like the original jerky flavor to be the best. I haven't tried the Hickory yet

I used this seasoning in 50 lbs of sausage patties I made from fresh ground pork butt. I smoked them and vac sealed them and reheated to serve at a fund raiser pancake feed and had tons of compliments. I will certainly be ordering more!!
I tried you Backwoods breakfast sausage spice mix rather than finding a recipe, buying multiple spices and measuring & mixing. First - very easy to use. Second, and more importantly, it has a wonderful flavor. Enough taste that you know its there when mixed in other foods but not so strong that it overpowers.
First time user for this mix 5 lbs. I used Axis deer/pork fat 80/20 grinds and made patties. It was so good I invited my neighbor for breakfast we all enjoyed it.
Used this mix and it works great. I used 75% Boston butt pork and 25% venison. If you add pork fat you can decrease pork and increase venison. I made patties and case less links with LEMs jerky, patty, snack stick grinder attachment... quick and easy. I also made some with 19mm collagen casings. Adding a little ground sage to the mix makes it even better.
I mixed 50/50 Pork-Venison Wife & kids think it is the BEST !!!
Nice, mild sausage
I use this seasoning mix for fresh sausage from wild pig. I mix 2 parts lean wild pig with 1 part jowl from the butcher. Fifteen pounds is a good batch. I also add a heaping tablespoon rubbed sage per 5 pounds of meat. For spicier sausage I add a tablespoon red pepper flakes pet 5 pounds. The basic seasoning makes sausage that my whole family enjoys.
I mix 5 lb batches - 3 lb pork and 2 lb venison and they turn out great. Nothing really over top or extraordinary, just a good flavored breakfast sausage.
