My journey into firearms, photography, & food really took off in 2018. I started shooting USPSA & quickly became a 2x GrandMaster competition shooter. In 2019, I met my now wife, Emily. She was shooting weddings on the weekends while working her full-time job during the week. She would also take awesome photos of me at competitions, which got me camera-curious. I ended up tagging along with her & shot video at a wedding. The couple loved it & I really enjoyed creating the visuals. During the winter months, we did not have many weddings & I was looking for something I could video to practice editing for wedding season. At that same time, I was learning how to grill using charcoal. I had all of the struggles of getting charcoal lit, mastering air flow, & turning raw food into something we would enjoy to eat. It clicked that I should be videoing what I am cooking & my process of learning. To this day, I still have incredible imposter syndrome, because I am so new to cooking, but my end results have gone from barely edible to "the best fill-in-the-blank food I have ever had". Over the last few years, I have transitions away from wedding video to exclusively shooting cooking content. In that process, I learned how fun it can be to make foods using LEM products. It started with sealing my leftovers in a vacuum sealer, to making my own burgers by grinding scrap meat, then evolved to grinding, mixing, & stuffing my own sausages, to now being well versed in the entire LEM lineup. I get to eat real food that I can process with other real food ingredients & share the process with others. Coming full circle with with my love of firearms, I plan to bird hunt with a buddy this fall to be able to harvest & process real natural ingredients for my table. I am just getting warmed up!
