I thought this was handy in my normal process by eliminating an extra step of pressing patties. Made quick work of some wild turkey patties. Just like a few other reviews, I wish it had a smaller plate for 1/4lb burgers. Otherwise I liked it.

Messy, and not worth the effort of the cost. A shame: I really like my grinder, my slicer, and my jerky gun. Good quality build, and works great. This item is not worthy of the LEM name.

Works great! but I wish I had another plate to make smaller patties! I think the patties are just too large now!

I thought this item was going to amke it easier for me to make my burgers when I was having a cookout. The burgers look good when they come out, but they fall apart on the grille. They don't pack tight enough in this unit to keep their shape and they have a lump in the middle from the feeding tube. I threw money away on this product. To me this burger maker is junk and will never be used again. Going back to the single patty press.

This unit is much faster and easier than a hamburger press but, I'm having a problem with the burgers falling apart on the grille. Another problem is the center of the burger has a lump from the feeding tube that makes the burgers much bigger in the middle. I think I am goin back to the burger press.

Awesome Patty Maker

Our deer cutting crew bought this patty maker for our #12 grinder. This product works friggin awesome. We made some hot Italian sausage patties with LEM pepper jack cheese and smoked bacon. These patties are to die for. With 3 guys working it you can knock out 50 lbs in no time. Worth every penny we spent.

This auto patty maker makes 6 ounce burgers. I wish they included that info in the description for the product. hint hint... My first batch through this patty maker went well. I made 38 burgers in less than an hour. When I become more familiar with it I may be able to exceed that, but for my first attempt I wasn't in a rush. I'd like to see them offer this unit in a 4 ounce size. There's another hint! :-) Otherwise I'm very pleased with it. For my next batch with it I think I'll try pre-treating it with vegetable oil so maybe the meat sticks to it a little less.
