Ingredients:

  • 1/2  cup sea salt
  • 1  tablespoon LEM liquid smoke (hickory flavor)

Directions:

1. Preheat oven to 200 degrees Fahrenheit.

2. In a small bowl combine the sea salt and liquid smoke. Mixture should take on the consistency of brown sugar. Add more salt or liquid smoke to achieve the required consistency.

3. Spread the salt mixture evenly onto a cookie sheet.

4. Place the cookie sheet into the oven and cook for 30 minutes. Stir salt around and spread evenly and cook for another 15 minutes until dry.

5. Remove from oven and let sit to cool for 10 minutes. Check dryness. If not totally dry put the salt back into the oven for another 10 minutes. Remove from oven and let sit for another 5 minutes. Break the salt up and store in an air tight container.
