Mine works great
I just purchased the maxvac100 and first use was a bit irritated. But after reading the product manual I figured out that the blue lights need to stop blinking before attempting to run the machine. I did find it a bit difficult at first to lock the lid. It takes a some effort, but once i figured that out, it has worked great. Both locks need to be locked and blue lights stop blinking or the machine will not work properly. I hope my learnings help some of you not go through some of the trial and error I had. The vacuum process is a bit long but you get what you pay for. As long as my food is tightly sealed I'm happy! Over all i give it a 4.
Does Not Seal Properly
My buddy killed a deer and I am processing his deer for him. I started out by making Frenched Venison Chops and when I went to seal them in the bag, the "MaxVac100" sucked all the air our great and when it was done sealing and the blue light went out, I hit the two side buttons to unlock the lid and when I did air rushed back into the bag. I repeated step one 3 more times and had to manually seal the bag twice. Once I unlocked the lid, the bag was near melted through and through. That was my first experience with this "MaxVac100" and ever since that first bag that didn't seal, I have not had one seal on the first try yet. Therefore I will be sending this machine back because it doesn't work. I talked to a "product specialist" at LEM and he said that I most likely had to much moisture in the bag so I vacuum sealed my wifes cell phone and it didn't even come close to sealing the bag and I guarantee you there was no "Moisture" in that bag.
