Fibrous casings are non-edible and string tied at one end. They can be clear, mahogany or printed with "Venison Sausage - Not for Sale". They are used to make Summer Sausage, Salami, Bologna and other cured sausages. Soak casings in warm water for 30 minutes prior to stuffing.
Approximate stuffed weight:
2 1/2" x 20" - 3 lbs.
1 1/2" x 12" - 1 lb.
4" x 20" - 6 lbs.

Great Casings
These casings worked really good. Used a 30mm stuffing tube and the casings stuffed perfectly. Then I smoked in a smoker and the sausage turned out a beautiful golden brown when finished.

Fibrous casings
They were as expected. We had a couple of questions and when we called they were helpful and friendly. Would be 5 stars, but they didn't come with a string to tie the end. We didn't know that so we had to come up with something on our own.

Fibrous Casings - 2 1/2
Been using these casings for years. Pre-stuffing......soak in warm water for 30 minutes with a little vinegar. Drain the water from them and stuff. Great product.

solid performance
Have used these bags for years. Will stuff ground venison into these by hand, poke the casings all over with a fork (to let more smoke to the meat), then use in the smokehouse and oven. Bags hold up just fine.

I've used these for summer sausage as well as for trail bologna. They are a great product. I do wish, however, that they came in a larger diameter in 12 inches lengths.

Great casings
I've used these casings for several years, easy to use and hold their shape. Only wish they would make the 2 1/2 inch in 12 inch lengths. The 20 inch are to long for the LEM smoker when you hang them.
