These seasonings are just the right amount of ingredients to make the perfect sausage! All the flavors work together with no one ingredient overpowering the final product. Another nice quality is that if you do not use the entire package you can freeze the seasoning to use later and it is still the same quality. Very well worth the price. I highly recommend these seasonings.

Great Sausage seasonings
The first four seasonings I decided to try were Maple Breakfast, Hot Breakfast,Cajun, and Breakfast. They are so simple to use. Just mix with water and mix in with the ground pork. Nothing could be easier. And the taste of the finished product was great! I will definitely be purchasing again. I highly recommend LEM Backwoods sausage seasonings to anyone that wants the best.

We really like this maple flavored seasoning. It isn't too spicy, but has enough to taste like sausage. The flavors are well balanced and it is easy to mix into the meat.

Maple Breakfast Sausage Seasoning
Family loves it. Made 1200 patties last year! One suguestion. Only use 20 pounds meat for the 25 pds. mix. Maple flavor is too weak with 25 pounds meat.
My Italian family has been making sausage for 5 generations. Though we have family recipes for breakfast sausage none called for maple syrup. Tried adding my own real syrup but couldn't quite get the amount correct, even after "Googling" many recipes. So, I bought this to give it a try. OMG! FANTASTIC! Not only is the maple flavor just right (not too strong, not too weak) but the overall balance of seasonings is superb. I am done adding maple syrup to my family's recipes. Why should I? This is great, just like my family recipe but with the right amount of maple that I was after. Thanks
We were blown away with how good the Maple breakfast seasoning was! We added about 1/2 cup of crushed red pepper to 25 lbs. of venison and we have a hard time enjoying any other breakfast sausage mix. The bonus is that it is gluten free and MSG free! we have made it with Elk, Mule Deer and White Tail. All great!!
great for price and quality
I have gotten sick and tired of the high prices and quality of chicken sausage so I bought this seasoning and make my own with chicken thigh meat. I am so glad I do the taste blows away any turkey ,chicken sausage you can buy anywhere!! I highly recommend when making poultry based sausage I am sure it is just as good with other meats but I do not eat pork so I cannot say I will try it when I make elk breakfast sausage, give it a try I think you will agree this is one great seasoning well worth the price!! I cannot wait to try the other seasoning when i can afford them.
Made a one pound batch just to test. Glad I did. Threw the rest of the seasoning away. It has an awful 'twang' taste that I attribute to the artificial maple flavoring. Could be something else??? I like a twang in my country music but not in my sausage....
Lacks maple flavor
Mixed 80/20 venison to pork with maple seasoning as directed. Smelled great when mixing and cooking, but little or no maple taste. Probably will not use this seasoning again. The breakfast sausage flavor is great.
Used this flavor for fresh elk sausage and the taste is amazing!! Will be buying this again.
