works just fine its mechanical less to fail
if your mindset is not positive, nothing is as easy. we love sausage especially homemade this will serve for many years
Waste of time and money. More meat goes behind the plunger then Down the tube
My wife bought this for me as a Christmas present 2 yrs ago, but we just got to use it. We were VERY pleased with the results. In the past we had tried everything from her grandfather's 1900 model to a few mechanized gizmos. All were a lot of trouble for poor results. The one thing with this LEM is that it needs to be bolted to a board that is then clamped to the work surface. That done, it works like a charm. I have no idea why the other reviewers didn't like it, but I am cery pleased to have it.
If you have the strength of an ox, go for it. It not, this is a total waste of money. I have used it twice and done with this piece of garbage.
5 lb. stuffer
This thing is a piece of junk. Seal does not hold (meat oozes out the top of the seal) and the plunger is a botulism trap. Stay away.
Owner Response: Whether LEM brand or not, horn-style stuffers are a very basic design. Their performance specifications may be acceptable to some and not to others. For best results, LEM strongly recommends using a stuffer with a gear drive and a vertical tub.
