I bought this dehydrator a week ago and have turned out 20 pounds of jerky so far. It runs quiet and very effectively. I can put about 9 Lbs or raw meat on the 10 tracks at a time. So far it takes about 5 hours for my jerky to finish at the 140 degree setting. Super easy to clean up as well. If you're willing to spend a little money, then this is the only dehydrator that you should be looking at.

Unbelievable control, and no rotating thanks to the circulating fan. I've made about 40 pounds of jerky thus far, and it all turns out wonderfully. Usually it takes between 4hrs to 5+ hrs depending on how thick the meat is sliced (I try for 1/8", but often have up to 1/4" near the end of the slicing).
I highly recommend the 778 dehydrator; cleaning is easy, but there are 10 racks!
I did lose one of the rubber foots, as I'm often moving the unit around (handy carrying handles on the top). Careful with the bottom-most shelf, as the tabs that hold the temp. probe-thing might get in the way, other than that, the shelves slide in and out easily.

Comments:
I upgraded to this dehydrator 3 or 4 years ago and have loved it. Once you determine your drying times and temps you can set the unit and go about your other business. The biggest use is for deer jerky. I put my jerky in kind'a wet from soaking in the mix so I found putting a small door shim under the back 2 legs and one of the front and a small drip pan under the other so as to direct & catch drippings helps. This is a top quality unit in both material and craftsmanship.
