The stuffer is good but I have only run about 200 lbs. of meat through it and the gears have already stripped out. I have been checking and they are always out of stock. Not so good.

Comments:
Perfect stuffer for Summer sausage, brats, snack sticks. Very easy to clean. Mineral oil keeps everything working very smoothly. I usually do 15 to 20 pounds of sausage at a time, and this stuffer is a great deal if that is your average volume.

Comments:
The gears are very sturdy and easy to clean. I'm used to the type with the swinging top, so removing the cylinder for refill is a bit strange. The manual calls for adding water to the grind for easier stuffing, but I did not find that necessary at all.
If you want to up your production, buying a second cylinder would be a good idea. Let one person fill, while the other stuffs casings.
Note from LEM: It is highly suggested to use at least 1 oz of water per pound of meat. The water will help the meat mixture to flow more freely through the stuffing tubes and will alleviate any undue stress on the gears.

Bought a Guide series stuffer from Gander and noticed the gears were nylon so I brought it back and bought a LEM from Bass Pro and is 100% better plus they give you 2 clamps which are a MUST ... LEM has GREAT STUFF... too bad they don't pay me to promote their products because they are worth every penny...

Comments:
I have had my stuffer for several month's... I have stuffed over 100lbs of sausage and boudin... It is very easy to use and clean... It is a little slow because it is a 5lbs model... But well worth the price...

This is a great stuffer. I've used mine a couple seasons for a variety of products - summer sausage, snack sticks, etc. with no problems. It has smooth, reliable operation, and is easy to clean. I am completely satisfied with this stuffer.

The construction is commercial grade. The stainless steel can is of superb quality. It will easily fill a summer sausage in less than one minute. I'll be passing this unit down to my son when I die.
